Microsoft heeft eind februari weer een update vrij gegeven voor Lync 2010. Met deze update herintroduceerd Microsoft ook weer Remote Call Control (RCC). Dit was al eerder aangekondigt door Microsoft maar tot nu toe niet beschikbaar. De RCC functionaliteit geeft gebruikers nu ook de mogelijkheid om deel te nemen aan video gesprekken of conferences. Hierbij wordt verloopt het audio gedeelte van het gesprek ook via de Lync client.
